| The mining stations of the game //Star Trek: Armada// have he role of granting access to collected Dilitium to all players. [[freighter|Mining Freighters]] collect it from Dilithium Moons and transport it to the nearest mining station of the player. This makes the mining stations very often necessarily placed outside of a player's starting base and therefore making them an easy target, as they do not possess any own defenses aside from their shields. A freshly built mining station comes already with one freighter. Another two are required to efficiently mine a moon. | | When producing a mining station of another faction (e.g. playing Klingon and stealing a Borg [[en:games:star_trek_armada_1:constructor]]) the freighter coming along with it will be of the **original** faction, **not yours** (here, Borg instead of Klingon). This of course makes no difference, if you are of that faction as well. |
